The homemade gnocchi are among the lightest and fluffiest around. It may seem dichotomous to order them, then, in a gorgonzola and mascarpone sauce, as it is usually heavy and overpowering. But not so at Sapore, where the flavors combine delicately to make a delicious, lighter-than-usual, but still substantial, cream sauce. Of course, gnocchi also comes in their flavorful marinara.
Signature items include spaghetti alla Sapore with sautéed shrimp, garlic, cherry tomatoes and artichokes in a white wine, EVOO and lemon sauce, as well as the beautifully presented rack of lamb with sautéed shitake mushroom, roasted red pepper and asparagus in a cognac demi-glace sauce.
